One of the most important and known online payment platforms PayPal launched a dollar-backed stablecoin called PYUSD on the Ethereum blockchain.
Newly created stablecoin is backed by the US dollar, low-risk assets, and Treasury securities.
In the words of PayPal CEO Dan Schulman “The vision over time is that this becomes a part of the overall payments infrastructure.”
